At this stage of your baby’s development, they are either confidently crawling, mastering the art of standing proudly, or perhaps even taking their very first wobbly steps. This is a time of big discoveries, and we’ll capture all their delightful expressions, giggles, and tiny triumphs in a series of fun, dynamic portraits.
Cake Smash sessions are designed to match your baby’s natural energy and short attention span. These sessions are fast-paced, ensuring we capture every adorable moment before your little one’s interest shifts. From cheeky grins and curious glances to messy hands and frosting-covered faces, every detail of this milestone is documented.

Let's Shoot
Cake Smash sessions typically last about an hour, allowing plenty of time for portraits, cake fun, and a quick cleanup afterward.
Step Five
The Reveal
After the session, I carefully review all of the images to select the best ones, considering facial expressions, poses, lighting, sharpness, backgrounds, and overall appeal. We set a date and time to ether meet in person or over zoom for you to view the images from your session. Together we build your package and select your favorite images.

Display Your Art
I believe in creating both timeless artwork for your home and providing digital files for archiving. Our carefully curated selection includes premium products, from keepsake albums to custom wall art displays that beautifully enhance any home decor. Each selected image is hand-edited to create a gallery of timeless maternity art. The heirloom quality of the products ensures that these cherished portraits will be treasured for generations to come.

Milestones to Book and When:
3 Month Sessions capture their unique emerging personality.
Sitter Sessions are usually done between the age of 6 months and 8 months of age when they have successfully mastered sitting up on their own.
Cake-Smash Session are a fun way to celebrate turning one. You do not have to do a cake-smash, a regular portrait is also an option.
Step Three
Let's Prep
A few weeks prior to your session we’ll chat on the phone or over zoom to discuss all the details of your session. We decide on props, cake, balloons and outfits. Everything is planned out so we can have a successful session and keeps things fun and easy.
Common Questions
The session includes pre-cake portraits, the cake smash itself, and optional post-cake splash portraits (a bubble bath cleanup is often a favorite!). A simple plain white cake and balloon garland are complimentary with each cake smash session. You can opt to not have these with the session.
There is a $99 session fee due at the time of booking. The Session fee is then applied as a credit towards your custom collection during the Reveal Session.
Collections start at $500. Client average investment is $900.
You are welcome to as many outfit changes as you wish. The session is only one hour in length and goes rather quickly so we do not lose baby’s attention. I strongly recommend no more than two outfit changes for a successful session.
You are welcome to do a simple portrait without a cake or balloons if you prefer. We do start the session off with simple portraits prior to the cake and balloons.
The images can be available to view at the reveal within a few days after the session. Your selected fully edited images then take a few more days before they are available.
With the session being short and quick, we can quickly squeeze in a few family portraits. Be prepared to sit on the floor if we will be doing family portraits.
